COVID-19 Guidelines

We have updated our policies

To keep our employees and student families safe:

  •  We have reduced the number of students to 4 per hour.

  •  We are limiting the number of individuals attending lessons to only the essential parent or guardian as well as limit siblings to only those that are swimming if possible.

  • We are not permitting parents in the pool, unless we deem it necessary.

  • Restrooms are not available as we don't have the capability to sanitize them after each use.

  • Our policies already cover illness and fevers. This pertains to our instructors also. We will not be taking temperatures. We are requesting that everyone self-govern.

  • Instructors are required to take their temperature prior to teaching and request that you take temps of all parties that will be attending lessons.

  • Fever: any temperature 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. If we have a fever, we will stay home as should you!

We are requesting:

  • Please be prompt for lessons.

  • That you do not linger after lessons.

  • One car per family.

  • No food or drinks permitted in the pool areas. We have students with allergies as well as food particles bring bugs. Please wait until you have returned to your car.

Face masks:

We work in the water. If a mask gets wet, it is on our face exposed to the outdoor temperature. This creates a breeding ground for organisms directly to our respiratory system as it covers our nose and mouth, therefore we do not wear them during lessons.

CDC and Covid-19:

Covid-19 cannot be transmitted in a properly chlorinated pool. For the instructor, it is a continuous disinfectant per session.

  • Fever: Any temperature 100.4 F or greater is considered a fever.

  • No fever: People with temperatures at or below 100.3 F may continue into the shelter using normal procedures.
